Mappfest is returning to Malvern in 2021 - All the details

Mappfest, which raises thousands for charity every year, was cancelled in 2020, but returns this year. Returning to Malvern Common on Saturday, August 7, Mappfest aims to be a family friendly music festival with local musicians and acts from further afield. This year, legendary musician Robert Plant has signed a handmade Marquetry picture made by local craftsman Tony Taylor, and this year the festival will be supporting Headway, St Richard s Hospice and Water Rescue. Andy Mapp, founder of Mappfest, said: Mappfest is completely run by volunteers, everyone donates their time for free and we receive no funding, so we have to rely on the kindness of others to make this work.

Three masked men in black van try to snatch dog near Upton

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a dog was almost stolen outside a pub in Malvern. Officers said the dog was nearly snatched near to the BlueBell Pub in Ryall Grove at around 3:30pm on Friday March 26. Three masked men in a black Citroën transit van are thought to have been involved in the attempted dog theft. Police are asking anyone with information to please get in touch with them either via their website or by calling 101 and quoting: 22/26982/21. Last month posters appeared along Peachfield Road following a report of attempted dog theft on Malvern Common, and police in the town were advising dog walkers to be careful.
