VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - The first time we met this weekâs People Taking Action award winners was last week when we featured them in a story on News 3.
Jackie Marshall told us then that she was leaving her house one day and noticed something in the front yard. Thatâs where it was, lying right there,â Marshall said, pointing to her yard. âIt was not only a letter - it was an IRS check.â
So, Jackie and her sister, Patricia Brooks, tracked down the address of the owner, drove five miles in the pouring rain and delivered it to a grateful Michael Borecky.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is threatening to go after Enbridge s profits from a Great Lakes oil pipeline if it isn t shut down.
The Democratic governor issued the warning Tuesday in a letter to Enbridge, a Canadian oil transport company.
Whitmer ordered the company last November to close the line by Wednesday, May 12. She agrees with environmentalists and native tribes that a section of Line 5 in the Straits of Mackinac is vulnerable to a spill.

Line 5 runs from Superior, Wisconsin, to Sarnia, Ontario through northern Wisconsin and Michigan.
