Jenny Hayes pleaded not guilty to three charges of murder and three charges of causing death by arson in the Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday. She is accused of starting the blaze in the early hours of December 2 last year that gutted the upper storey of the Totem Way townhouse.

The flames engulfed the two-story property in just three minutes as Inderpal Singh, 28, Abigail Forrest, 19, and their newborn baby Ivy Forrest slept inside.
During her latest court hearing, Hayes wept uncontrollably and rocked back and forth with her head in her hands as she appeared via video link at Melbourne Magistrates Court on Monday.
