It was a family reunion of epic proportions on Saturday afternoon at the Liberty Baseball Stadium. More than 30 members of the Bream family, including 19 Liberty University graduates or current students, gathered for the dedication of two areas within the facility before the Flames clinched first place in the ASUN North Division by sweeping a three-game final home series against Kennesaw State.

The Liberty Indoor Tennis Center, the new indoor home of Liberty University’s men’s and women’s tennis teams, officially opened on Tuesday with a dedication ceremony.
Speakers included Liberty Director of Athletics Ian McCaw, Men’s Tennis Head Coach Derek Schwandt, Women’s Tennis Head Coach Jeff Maren, and Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance CEO & Chief Economic Development Officer Megan Lucas.

Liberty University’s newest athletics facility opened for the first time on Saturday. The Lady Flames tennis team had the honor of playing the first-ever match inside the 48,000-square foot Liberty Indoor Tennis Center and christened it in grand fashion with a 7-0 sweep over Davidson before following it up with a 6-1 win over Towson.
The facility features six courts and seating for 100 fans. The building also houses team locker rooms, a team lounge, a laundry facility and a concessions area. The new center, coupled with the 12 outdoor courts, make up the Liberty Tennis Complex.

A few hours before kickoff of Saturday’s Cure Bowl showdown between Liberty University and Coastal Carolina at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla., Liberty alumni across the United States and Canada, including some former Flames Football players, connected in a virtual pre-game video call.
The Zoom session allowed former Head Coach John Cartwright and Flames Football Director of Spiritual Development Ed Gomes to pray for the players and coaches as they approached the biggest contest in the 47-year history of the program and for former players to reminisce about their own experiences.
