Mahankal had bashed Mangesh Kedar to death to take revenge, said VG Darekar, senior inspector of Kalwa police station.
“It was on December 31, Kedar told his family that he was going to sleep in his other house. As the deceased did not return, the family members went to check on him, only to find that he was stoned to death,” Darekar added.
A few neighbours had seen Mahankal bragging about killing the victim. When cops asked the neighbours, they told them about Mahankal.
