SunStar SunStar File Photos March 15, 2021 FIRE has been a common occurrence in Cebu, just like in other places in the country, due to several factors, and most of the fire incidents in the province affected areas with houses made of light materials. This March, being a Fire Prevention Month, SunStar has compiled some of the most notable fire incidents in the province, particularly in Cebu City and Mandaue City, since 2015. Below is the list. Location: Sitio Mansanitas, Barangay Cogon Pardo, Cebu City Number of houses destroyed: 57 (all made of light materials) Number of persons affected: 138 families or 570 individuals were left homeless

In a distribution activity held in Kasilak Gym on Wednesday, March 10, beneficiaries were given meals, cash assistance, food packs, masks, face shields, and medicine packs. The Senator also gave away a bicycle to a selected recipient. Another received a computer tablet for his children’s use in classes as part of their blended learning being implemented in schools. Go also gave away pairs of shoes to other beneficiaries.
