Urban anthropologist Rachael Scicluna on Saturday launched her Labour Party candidature for the second and ninth districts

To create this kind of policy, Scicluna said in a statement announcing her run, she is committing herself to put people at the centre of society proactively and compassionately where their needs, wants and aspirations are at the core of policies across all government sectors.
She stresses that, “In the spirit of solidarity, inclusion, and mutual learning, together we can foster social transformation that is created and delivered equitably to all people. Therefore, I am committed to seeking and creating a dialogue with all to represent the diverse voices and perspectives of Maltese society.

Leigh is a pioneer member of the HSBC (HSBA.L) Pride + Ally Network in GSC Philippines. Under Leigh’s leadership a number of significant initiatives and company policy changes were made, including the establishment of both gender neutral and gender preference restrooms, the inclusion of same sex and domestic partners in their insurance coverage and inclusion of treatment of HIV/AIDS in HMO coverage.
Leigh took the lead in the D&I forum held in India in sharing Philippines Pride best practices and initiatives and established an annual PAN GSC SOGIE Awareness session, which she personally facilitates. In addition, she played a critical role in the establishment of Pride ERGs in GSC India and China.

As a gay Christian, I am fortunate to be a member of St Anne’s, Soho, an inclusive church in central London. Coronavirus, as with most aspects of my life, has had a large impact on the way I worship. St Anne’s had to adapt over the course of 2020, but has successfully remained a place of peace, sanctuary and hope for the LGBTQ+ community.
