As a start, 200 existing hotel workers can look forward to taking on enhanced careers in the industry, through the JRR Programme; the list of whitelisted roles available for a quicker application process includes digital marketing executives, safety and security officers, and more.
Singapore s hotel industry will now be receiving more targeted support under Workforce Singapore s (WSG) Professional Conversion Programme (PCP), as part of the revamped and enhanced Job Redesign Reskilling (JRR) Programme for the Hotel Industry.
Through this, WSG, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) and the Food, Drinks and Allied Workers Union (FDAWU) will continue supporting job redesign projects rolled out in tandem with hotels adoption of technology.

SINGAPORE - Leader of the Opposition Pritam Singh has called for closer scrutiny of government expenditure and more transparency on the outcomes of Budget initiatives, adding that this has become even more critical with tax revenues being squeezed and increased spending expected in the years ahead. With a tighter fiscal environment in the years ahead, as stressed by (Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat) over many speeches, closer scrutiny of expenditure should not be seen one-dimensionally as political one-upmanship but as an administrative necessity, he said.
