Keith and Jo LeBlanc were thrilled when they logged onto the state s COVID-19 vaccine appointment website Thursday morning and saw a three-minute wait time.
But the thrill was short-lived.
Jo got in and was able to enter her information, but when she clicked to book the appointment, she found herself bounced back to the digital waiting room, where her wait time jumped from 40 minutes to 656 minutes and everywhere in between. I did that for two hours, said Jo. Neither she nor her husband, both 67 and residents of Holden, were able to book appointments.

The NDP has lost on a bit to extend the deadline of the Commission on Long Term Care.
NDP deputy leader Sara Singh says the commission still can’t get information and the government documents it needs to complete it’s work.
“The Commission still can’t get access to important information and government documents, and the government has refused to offer the extension they need to finish their work. Why is the government preventing the Commission on Long Term Care from doing its work?” asked Singh at Queen’s Park on Monday.

MARIETTA The Little Hocking man indicted for the attempted murder of Devon Ours will next be evaluated for competency to stand trial.
Steven Andrew Osborne, 19, of 529 Federal Road, appeared from the Washington County Jail on Friday for a bond and arraignment hearing in Washington County Common Pleas Court.
Osborne is one of three defendants, two adults and a minor, charged in the attack upon Ours, of Marietta, which officials say occurred on Feb. 12.
Osborne faces four felony counts with two gun specifications assigned to the highest felonies of attempted murder (first degree) and felonious assault (second degree).

Premier Doug Ford is facing some criticism for comments made in the Ontario legislature on Wednesday.
They came during an exchange with NDP leader Andrea Horwath over her accusations the Premier is not listening to medical experts.
“Rather than sending inaccurate information out to the public and hurting the public, why don’t you come and join us to support the people of Ontario for once, rather than just sit there and criticize and criticize? It’s like listening to nails on a chalkboard, listening to you,” said Ford.
