Aida Cruises has confirmed it will return to the German market this month after the country took new steps to reopen tourism.
The Carnival Corporation-owned line said it would offer short voyages from Kiel (Schleswig-Holstein) from May 22nd.
AIDAsol is currently positioned in northern Germany and is ready for the re-start.

Booking starts on Wednesday, with further details to be announced soon.
Enhanced health and safety protocols - tested by SGS Institut Fresenius and confirmed by the classification society DNV - include a mandatory polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for all passengers.
There will also be regular health checks, social distancing and hygiene protocols, medical care including testing capacities on board and other measures.

Costa Cruises will be resuming cruises from March 27. The cruise line believes the ships are ready to set sail once again, after a short break in the last months.
The line has scheduled an Italian itinerary from the end of March 2021, while May will see the Carnival Corporation-owned cruise line operate cruises to international destinations.
Flagship
The first ship to start sailing will be the company’s flagship vessel
Costa Smeralda. Scheduled for March 27, 2021, the vessel will be sailing on 7-day itineraries in Italy for one month before her itinerary will change to one-week cruises in the Mediterranean.
