India has ramped up the production of anti-viral drug Remdesivir - used in the treatment of Covid patients - from 33,000 vials per day on April 11 to 3.5 lakh vials a day, the government has said.

Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers Shri Mansukh Mandaviya informed that 25 new manufacturing sites for Remdesivir’s production have been approved since 12th April.
The Minister tweeted: “Since 12th April, 25 new manufacturing sites for #Remdesivir‘s production have been approved. Production capacity is now ramped up to ≥90 lakhs vials per month, earlier it was 40 lakhs vials/month. Very soon, 3 lakh vial/day will be produced. Monitoring is being done on daily basis. We would not leave any stone unturned to supply #Remdesivir.”

Dredging Corporation of India Limited (DCIL) recently celebrated the 45th anniversary of the company’s founding at its Head Office in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
The India’s premier dredging company was incorporated on March 29, 1976, and since then it has been consistently catering to the dredging requirements of the major and minors ports across the country and abroad.
The celebrations were led by the MD and CEO, Prof Dr. G.Y.V Victor and attended by the employees, their families, and guests.
In his message to the employees, Shri Mansukh Mandaviya the Hon’ble Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways expressed confidence that DCIL will soon emerge as a global giant in the field of green and sustainable dredging for Atma Nirbhar Bharat.
