Some non-critical data was taken, but back-up systems worked as intended, officials said.
The attack hit about 9:30 p.m. Tuesday and officials worked through the night with vendors and the state Department of Homeland Security’s Cyber Incident Response Team to mitigate the impacts, officials said.
The breach “adversely” impacted Saratoga County, Sheriff Michael Zurlo said in a release, but “our back-up systems functioned as designed and we were able to maintain 911 services to our residents.”
The breach also did not impact 911 services in Albany County, officials said. Computer Aided Dispatch, however, was impacted.
