To meet the rising demand for medical oxygen due to COVID in the State, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday unveiled the “AP Industrial Gases and Medical Oxygen Manufacturing Policy 2021-22”, aimed at increasing the current manufacturing capacity of 360 metric tonnes to 700 metric tonnes. The target is to set up at least 50 PSA oxygen generation plants.

Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], May 19 (ANI): Aiming to double oxygen manufacturing capacity to 700 tonnes by refurbishing sick units for producing oxygen, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has unveiled the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Gases and Medical Oxygen Manufacturing Policy 2021-22. The main aim of the policy is to augment the Oxygen Manufacturing capacity from the existing 360 metric tonnes (MT) capacity to 700 MT. The policy targets to setup a total of at least 50 Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) oxygen plants , read an official release by the state government.

New Delhi [India], May 17 (ANI): The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking direction to allow conversion of unused CNG cylinders cascade lying idle and any other CNG cylinders cascade which can be spared by respective city gas distribution companies for Medical Oxygen use.
While dismissing the petition, the bench of Justice DN Patel and Justice Jyoti Singh noted that the other division bench of Delhi High Court is dealing with the issues.
