The Chelmsford Public Library is offering curbside pickup. Residents can place holds online through the catalog or call the library at 978-256-5521 to place a new request. If a resident would like staff to provide suggestions, they can ask either online at http://bit.ly/300oDmT or by phone. Currently, requests are limited to items in the building, because inter-library loan delivery has not restarted. The library will close at 8 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays and at 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays in order to provide time for staff to do additional cleaning.

ONCE VIRTUAL VENUE Somervilleâs ONCE Ballroom may have been forced out of its physical Highland Avenue space for now, but it lives on online, and this weekend offers a formidable lineup; R&B chanteuse Ava Sophia, a standout from the 2020 617Sessions, unleashes new music (Feb. 26); band of sisters Circus Trees and introspective alt-rockers Dearbones share a bill (Feb. 27); and Sunday ends the shortest month with a goth threefer of Kiss of the Whip, Shanghai Beach, and Cushing. Theaters around the country may be closed, but the switch from the stage to the computer screen hasnât hindered the Hub Theatre Company of Boston, which is preparing for a virtual production of the new play âSolitaire Suite.â Written by Trent England and directed by Daniel Bourque, the play streams live on Feb. 20, 26, and 27 at 7:30 p.m. and on Feb. 21 at 4 p.m.
Described on Hubâs website as âThe Twilight Zone meets Zoom,â the show follows Celeste, Pete, and their son Tiger on an ominous drive through the countryside that will ultimately change their lives.
