elon musk: Elon Musk tweets he supports crypto in battle against fiat currencies

By Tiago Ramos Alfaro Elon Musk is again tweeting about technology and cryptocurrencies, and this time he’s clear on where his support is at. In a thread started by Musk himself comparing magic to technology where someone asked what he thought about people “who are angry at you because of crypto,” the Tesla Inc. CEO tweeted that the “true battle is between fiat & crypto. On balance, I support the latter.” Bitcoin rose after Musk’s post to trade at around $38,150 as of 12:27 p.m. London time. Musk has made similar comments before, including in December when he tweeted that “Bitcoin is almost as bs as fiat money.” In February, he elaborated to say that “when fiat currency has negative real interest, only a fool wouldn’t look elsewhere.”

Paris Saint-Germain s Brazilian forward Neymar (Lionel Bonaventure/AFP/Getty) Brazilian footballer Neymar is accused of plotting an armed assault against a journalist investigating his alleged homophobic conduct. The journalist, an LGBT+ activist called Agripino Magalhães, has filed a lawsuit against the world famous striker in the Court of Justice of São Paulo, Brazilian outlet Magalhães claims he was told to “shut up or be killed” after investigating a violent incident between Neymar and his mother’s bisexual boyfriend, Tiago Ramos, back in June. The journalist says he was offered a bribe of $350,000 to withdraw the complaint but he refused, which prosecutors say led to him being mobbed and robbed. Magalhães said the only reason he “wasn’t killed because the gun didn’t go off”.
