Pretoria, May 12 : Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Wednesday announced a 16-member Emerging Women squad, which will tour Zimbabwe from May 18 to 26 for a five-match one-day series.
The players will assemble in Pretoria on May 15 before flying to Bulawayo, where they will play their inaugural match at the Queens Sports Club on May 18.
Coached by Dinesha Devnarain, the Emerging Women will be looking for a much better showing following their tour to Bangladesh a month ago, where they lost four of their five matches. The last match was cancelled due to the deteriorating Covid-19 situation in Bangladesh and the team flew back.

Sylhet : , April 4 (IANS) Fargana Haque slammed an unbeaten 71 off 102 balls and Salma Khatun snared three for 25 as Bangladesh Emerging women defeated the touring South Africa Emerging women by 54 runs in the opening one-dayer on Sunday.
Jenay Winster s 3 for 33 restricted Bangladesh to 195 for nine in their 50 overs, but the visitors were bundled out for 141 in 44.5 overs at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
The South Africans, coached by Dinesha Devnarain, now trail 0-1 in the five-match series and will be hoping to bounce back in second match on Tuesday.
