This year’s recipients of the Everyday Hero Awards have been named by the Upper Grand District School Board.
They include Orangeville District Secondary School teacher Leigha Turner.
The board says during the past year many of its staff, students community members and volunteers – went the extra mile during to meet the unique challenges posed by the pandemic.
The winners were selected from more than a dozen nomination categories and included a bus driver, student groups and volunteers.
A virtual ceremony to recognize the winners will be held May 10th.
The Upper Grand District School Board is now collecting Everyday Hero Awards nominations.
Eligible candidates include UGDSB employees, students, community members or volunteers who go up and beyond for the good of the school community.
The nomination period is open until March 26th and winners will be announced on May 10th.
