The spring semester is coming to a close as Penn State students get ready for finals and start to head back home.
I wanted to write something reflecting on my sophomore year and to give others some things to do before they leave Penn State for the summer â or leave Penn State forever.
Accomplish a bucket list item
Cross that thing you have always wanted to do at Penn State off your bucket list when you can.
I feel like it would be a fun thing for you and your friends to go outside and experience Penn State for what it is while you can.

Penn State Black Caucus hosted an Alumni Panel: The Village to begin Now More Than Ever Week 2021. This year, the organization s theme is Power to the People.
The alumni panel included former Black Caucus President LaKeisha Wolf, Founding Director of Sankofa Research Institute Assata Richards and assistant professor at the University of North Carolina Tiffanie Lewis-Durham.
Annually, Black Caucus honors âthe Village, a sit-in protest that was organized by the group s leaders in 2001. Hundreds of students slept in the HUB-Robeson Center for 10 days until Penn State administration agreed to take action to better the lives of people of color at Penn State.

College. The best four years of your life. Thatâs what everyone loves to tell you.
They say itâs when you feel your freest, when you are on your own for the first time in life and get to make your own decisions.
They tell you they would go back in an instant, and their four years were full of the happiest of memories and the best moments in their lives.
No one talks about or even seems to remember the stressful, anxiety riddled moments that come with coming into your own in a university setting.
For me, college was a cathartic experience, where I battled the worst in myself to have the âbestâ four years of life â the best of which came in my senior year, when a worldwide pandemic threatened to take away all I have been working toward.Â
