TROY, N.Y. â Troy police have made an arrest in connection with an arson case that happened at the Sage College Troy campus. The incident was reported on March 25, by the Sage Public Safety Department.
Officers at the College located the damage to the building, and the Troy Fire Department responded to assess it. The damage was contained to two card readers that allow access to the Ackerman Hall located at 102 2nd Street.
Troy police detectives, evidence technicians and Sage Public Safety worked together on this investigation and Friday accused of setting the fire was arrested.

Shaquan L. Small, 29 of Cohoes, was charged with one count of third-degree felony arson for intentionally starting the fire. Small was also arrested on March 28, and charged with two counts of third-degree attempted arson and released.

TROY – The Hart Cluett Museum is searching for a new executive director to take over from Karin Krasevac-Lenz, who is retiring Jan. 29 after leading the museum for nearly six years.
During Krasevac-Lenz’s tenure, the museum was rebranded and renamed from the Rensselaer County Historical Society, struck up a partnership with the Smithsonian Institute, as wel as increased fundraising efforts.
“Anyone who knows Karin knows that, when she gets something in her mind, it’s not enough to simply achieve the goal. She has to surpass it.
