It was Seals & Crofts’ song lyric, “Summer breeze/makes me feel fine.” Or was it “Summer drinks/make me feel fine”? Yeah, we like that sound of that one better. Get your summertime cocktailing on with some new seasonal drinks recently introduced at a few of the popular eateries at The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian and The Palazzo. It’s a taste tour of the flavors of summer, and the first stop is
Smith & Wollensky. Grab a seat at the first-floor bar area of the steakhouse, or take it upstairs to the more intimate and upscale bar and order the refreshing classic, the Aperol spritz. Here, the recipe calls for Aperol, LaLuca prosecco and club soda it’s a thirst-quenching, easily drinkable, will-get-ya-feeling-relaxed cocktail.

Robert Parekh is doing something on the Las Vegas Strip that no one else is doing brewing beer. As the general manager for Trustworthy Brewing Co. inside The Grand Canal Shoppes on The Palazzo side, the restaurant and bar is also home to an onsite brewery.
“When the opportunity for Trustworthy arose, I thought, ‘Now I can translate my love for selling craft beer to potentially producing craft beer,’” says Parekh. Before he joined the company in 2019, Parekh had a long career in food and beverage, which began in the Bay Area in California.

When The Venetian was built, its planners knew right away one element they could not do without: A replica of the Grand Canal in Venice. After all, without it, how would they replicate the gondola ride? It’s arguably the most iconic, romantic experience one can enjoy as part of a trip to Italy. So it would have been sacrilege to not replicate it in Las Vegas.
And very romantic it is! It’s still one of the most popular attractions in Las Vegas after more than 20 years. But it’s not just couples entire families can also be seen enjoying a song (or two) from their gondolier as their boat floats down the man-made waterways, snapping photos aplenty. And this is one attraction you’ll want to experience more than once there are both indoor and outdoor options available.
