news NHA, SUPARCO sign deal for monitoring National Highway Authority network Press Release National Highway Authority (NHA) & Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) Signed an Agreement today at NHA, HQ under which National Highway Authority’s’ entire network will be monitored by using Satellite Technology. Chairman National Highway Authority Capt ® Sikander Qayyum, Member SUPARCO Mr. Zafar Iqbal and Senior officers of NHA, SUPARCO and Ministry of Communications were also present. NHA’s Member (Planning) Mr. Asim Amin and Director Commercial SUPARCO Brig ® Tahir Islam signed the agreement. According to the detailed National Highway Authority (NHA) will engaged Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) for monitoring of its network using satellite technology.

Suparco to monitor NHA network by satellite Islamabad March 16, 2021 Islamabad:National Highway Authority (NHA) & Pakistan Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) signed an agreement on Monday at NHA, Headquarters under which National Highway Authority’s entire network will be monitored by using satellite technology, says a press release. NHA Chairman Captain (r) Sikander Qayyum, Member Suparco Zafar Iqbal and senior officers of NHA, Suparco and Ministry of Communications were also present. NHA’s Member (Planning) Asim Amin and Director Commercial Suparco Brigadier (r) Tahir Islam signed the agreement. According to the detail NHA will engage Space & Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) for monitoring of its network using satellite technology.

Mr. Joudat Ayaz, Additional Secretary (MoCC)/National Project Director (GLOF-II Project) and Brig. Tahir Islam, Director SUPARCO signed the MoU, for the use of satellite imagery, received by SUPARCO from various satellites, in mutually agreed areas of application for climate change impacts in Pakistan. The idea is to get an overall clearer picture of the current glacial lakes and associated threats.
