Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, on Monday, warned the contractor handling the 24-kilometre Dass-Bununu road, linking Tafawa Balewa and Dass Local Government Areas of the state to either return to the site or have the contract revoked.
The governor gave the warning while inspecting the road project awarded by the administration of the immediate past governor, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar.
Governor Mohammed disclosed that over N800 million had been released to the contractor but there was little or nothing to show for it, adding that only 25 percent of the contract had so far been completed.
As of the time of the governor’s inspection visit, the contractor was not on site.
