Crystal Dynamics Talks Tomb Raider Netflix Anime and Series Future

Crystal Dynamics published a brief video on Twitter to celebrate Tomb Raider‘s 25th anniversary, in which it revealed a collaboration with Netflix and briefly talked about the franchise’s future. Lara Croft is heading to Netflix in a Tomb Raider anime

A Tomb Raider anime is on its way to Netflix, the streaming giant announced on Wednesday. According to Netflix’s press release, the anime will be a sequel to the most recent reboot video game trilogy of the Tomb Raider franchise. As you might expect, the series will follow the game’s iconic main character, Lara Croft, as she travels the world searching out new, more exciting, and more dangerous adventures. The Tomb Raider animated series will be written and executive produced by Tasha Huo, who is also working The Witcher: Blood Orange, a live-action spinoff of the popular fantasy series. Lara Croft’s last trip outside of video games came in 2018 when Alicia Vikander brought the character to the big screen in a reboot directed by Roar Uthaug.
