New Delhi: Poor air quality has been associated with a significant proportion of pregnancy loss in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh from 2000-2016, according to a study published in
Lancet Planetary Health.
The epidemiological case-control study â the first to quantify the impact of air pollution on pregnancy loss in South Asia â said that exposure among mothers to ambient particulate matter (PM 2.5) was associated with pregnancy loss, which included stillbirths and miscarriages.Â
