TROY, N.Y. â Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly announced that a sealed indictment was handed up for Vera Crumble, 35, of Troy.
Crumble was arraigned Wednesday morning on one count of second-degree murder and second-degree arson, in the death of Thomas Bessette, 64, of Troy.
Crumble is accused of starting the fire at 177 3rd St., Troy, that killed Bessette on July 17.
