Spain: TVE To Host A National Final To Choose Eurovision 2021 Entry
It has been announced that TVE will host a national final to decide the Spanish Eurovision entry for Blas Cantó to take to the 2021 contest.
In a tweet from Eurovision-Spain we have learnt that Spain will be using a national final, rather than an internal selection, to decide upon their entry for Rotterdam.

While not much information about the selection has been revealed, we do understand that it will be a gala event. There will be various songs presented by Blas Cantó and the audience will play a ‘crucial role’ in the decision of Spain’s 2021 Eurovision entry. It has previously been speculated that there will be 4 songs performed, including one written with the 2019 winner Duncan Laurence, but this is yet to be confirmed.

Belgium: Loïc Nottet Would Return to Eurovision As Coach
In an interview, Belgium’s 2015 participant Loïc Nottet has revealed that he would return to the Eurovision Song Contest, but only to support another artist.
Loïc is currently a coach on Season 9 of
The Voice Belgium and has stated that, if one of his acts were to be selected by RTBF for the Eurovision Song Contest 2022, he would support them all of the way. In the interview, he stated his seriousness and dedication to his role as coach in
The Voice and said he would be in contact with his acts “until the end”, if they so desired.

Gjon’s Tears has revealed in an interview to TopRadio Albania that 20 songs were created for his Swiss 2021 Eurovision entry.
Switzerland’s Gjon’s Tears has already announced via Instgram that his 2021 song has been selected, however he revealed a little more about the process leading up to this selection in a recent interview.
He revealed that, due to needing a new song for 2021, 20 songs were performed in the time frame of a month and a half. A jury was used to make the final decision on the song. In the interview, Gjon’s Tears commented that it was like having a “competition within a competition” and that the outcome was better than expected. He did not give any indication on when we would get to hear the song, but expressed his excitement for the world to hear the Swiss entry.
