ANN ARBOR, MI - Some Monday classes are canceled at Haisley Elementary School in Ann Arbor due to a broken fiber cable.
The fiberoptic cable affects several of the school’s operational functions, according to a Sunday, April 4 email from Haisley Elementary Principal Dante Watson to students, staff and the community.
The team that can repair the cable is shorthanded due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Watson wrote, so the repair is not expected to be done until late afternoon on Monday, April 5.
“(It’s necessary) in AAPS schools for safe operation of school buildings, enabling phones, fire suppression, security cameras, internet and other critical health, safety and learning functions,” Watson wrote in the email.
