The General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of Northern Command (GOC-in-C) interacted with Veer Naris and veterans after laying wreath to Swarnim Vijay Mashaal (victory flame) and paying tributes to the fallen heroes at the Warrior s Grove War Memorial, Crossed Swords Division, at Akhnoor as part of Swarnim Vijay Varsh celebrations.
The General officer felicitated Veer Naris and war heroes at Akhnoor, he said.

JAMMU, Feb 27: Friends CC trounced Singh Challengers Akhnoor by six wickets and lifted the title trophy of Jourian Premier League, organised by First Born Mech (Army’s Crossed Swords Division) at Jourian, here today
Batting first, Singh Challenger Akhnoor scored 162 by losing seven wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Sonu Malhotra, Shibam and Ajju scored 57, 29 and 24 runs respectively. From bowling side, Sumit got three wickets, while Shubam clinched two wickets and Jagdish and Bunty shared one wicket each.
In reply, Friends CC chased the target easily by losing only four wickets and won the match with six wickets. Sumit made highest 55 runs, while Rocky and Manik contributed 38 and 36 runs respectively to the total. From bowling side, Pankaj got three wickets while Lablu clinched one wicket.
