Myntra has changed its logo after a complaint was filed against it for allegedly being offensive towards women.
Mumbai-based activist Naaz Patel had lodged the complaint in December 2020 with the cyber cell and had demanded that Myntra changes its logo. She had also sought appropriate action against the online retail website for insulting women.
Patel had alleged that the previous logo resembled a naked woman.
Following up the complaint, Rashmi Karandikar, DCP, Cyber Crime Department of Mumbai Police, had stated that the logo was indeed found to be offensive in nature. An email was then sent to the e-commerce firm regarding the same.
