Davao City s security preps during Pilot Bar exams a success

Davao City logo (Davao City’s Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) In a statement from the City Information Office (CIO) on Thursday, Feb.4, Public Safety and Security Command Center (PSSCC) chief Col. Angel Sumagaysay said “the Supreme Court was gratified with the city government of Davao for the safe implementation of the mock bar examination of 27 examinees, which was successfully carried out within their target schedule.”   He said the PSSCC conducted self-deployment on January 30, and implemented full deployment of its 63 personnel on January 31.    The Ateneo de Davao University was one of the four testing sites of the Pilot/Mock bar exams held last January 31. The other sites were Ateneo de Manila Professional Schools in Makati City, St. Louis University in Baguio City, and University of Cebu in Cebu City.

Covid-19 patient in custody over tampered test results

January 26, 2021 A CONFIRMED Covid-19 positive air passenger is now under the custody of authorities shortly after the Davao City Government announced that he is wanted for tampering with his swab test result. The City Government posted around 8 p.m. Monday evening, January 25, that a certain Frederick Panol Grande was wanted after he was found to have presented a tampered reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test result upon arrival at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport, also known as Davao International Airport. It was discovered that he tampered with his RT-PCR test result to indicate that he is negative of Covid-19. An email from the testing center proved that he faked the result, the City Government said in a Facebook post.

DAVAO CITY – The city government here announced on Friday that the use of the Safe Davao QR (DQR) contact tracing app will be mandatory in all offices and establishments starting February 3.

Ordinance penalizing those presenting false Covid-19 test results approved

January 19, 2021 THE 19th Davao City Council strengthened the law penalizing a person using or producing falsified or tampered Covid-19 medical test results or other health verification documents in the city through an ordinance passed under third and final reading on Tuesday, January 19. Acosta, proponent of the measure, said the ordinance was crafted following the recent apprehension of 22 air passengers at the Francisco Bangoy International Airport, also known as the Davao International Airport. The persons were caught by the Airport Health Monitoring Team for submitting a fake RT-PCR test results upon verification. The figures were based on the latest data from the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) as of January 5, 2020.
