It was an historic New Year’s Eve for Spruce Grove Fire Services.
For lieutenant Chantell Brown, firefighter Rebecca Raikles, and firefighter Mariah Williams, it may have been just another day at work, but it was a first for the city. The three fire fighters formed Spruce Grove’s first all female pump crew during a 14-hour night shift on Dec. 31, 2020.

The toddler woke up to find his house located in Spruce Grove was on fire a few days ago. Without panic he made his way to his parents room to alert them of the fire. Thanks to his quick thinking Valiquette, both parents and the other two children in the home were able to get out safely.
