Stockton Harbor Days takes place Friday and Saturday, July 23 and 24. Sponsored by Stockton Springs Community Builders, there will be a free street dance from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday on Main Street with music dj’d by the Treblemakers. On Saturday, the 24th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Stockton Harbor, there will be free sailing, kayaking, and kids’ lobster boat rides, as well as games, a dunk tank and socializing with neighbors at the Playground. Wing Dingahs food truck will be offering burgers, dogs, wings, curly fries and more, and picnic lunches are encouraged! For more information, contact committee member Marsha Shute at 322-2873.

SPRUCE HEAD A 31-year-old Rockland man has been charged with making a false distress call late last year that resulted in a large search effort and drew condemnation from the Coast Guard for coming shortly after a fishing boat out of Portland was lost at sea claiming the lives of four fishermen.
