The Leader of Gateshead Council, Councillor Martin Gannon and Sheena Ramsey, Chief Executive, write an open letter to local residents advising of the council s decision to prioritise its Covid-19 response and how this will affect the reopening of facilities.
Dear resident,
With local Covid-19 infection rates decreasing and the vaccination programme progressing at pace we have every reason to be optimistic for the future. However, we wanted to write to you to reiterate Gateshead Council s commitment to continuing to prioritise the lives, health and wellbeing of our communities.
THE Green Party have announced their candidate for the upcoming by-election in Patcham ward.
Brighton and Hove City Council’s leading party, have today confirmed Eliza Wyatt as candidate for the by election in May. It follows the announcement of Conservative Councillor Lee Wares’ resignation last month. Patcham ward is currently represented by three conservative councillors and is within Brighton Pavilion parliamentary constituency represented by Green MP Caroline Lucas. Mrs Wyatt has lived in Patcham for a number of years, and first stood as a candidate for the Green Party in Patcham in 2003. She has recently retired from being active in theatre, both in the UK and America.
