KARGIL, Mar 14: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan who is also the Councillor of Silmoo Constituency stressed the need to revive the culture of Silmoo Constituency and said that as one of the major steps to achieve this goal, a mega event is going be held in the area during the last week of March this year.
The CEC stated this while addressing Archery players and the people of Batalik and adjoining villages during the final match of the Aryan Cup Archery Tournament held at Batalik here today.

LEH, Feb 6: The Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC Leh, Tashi Gyalson and Chairman/CEO LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan co-chaired an important meeting along with all the Executive Councillors of Hill Council Leh and Kargil at the Council Secretariat Leh and discussed and deliberated common issues of both the Hill Councils last evening.
Among present in the meeting were Dy Chairman LAHDC, Leh Tsering Angchuk; EC Rural, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; EC Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel; EC Minority Affairs, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor; EC Social Welfare, LAHDC Kargil, Aga Syed Arman; EC Works Mubarak Shah Naqvi; EC Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Punchok Tashi and EC Health, Mohd Ali Chandan.

JAMMU, Jan 18: Series of activities were held across Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh to mark the beginning of National Road Safety Month.
The day witnessed inaugural functions, walkathons and awareness rallies organized by respective district administrations.
JAMMU: The 32nd National Road Safety Month was today inaugurated by Transport Commissioner, J&K Pardeep Kumar, with the flagging off a Walkathon-cum-Awareness Rally, here at Gulshan Ground.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Traffic Jammu, Shiv Kumar Sharma was the guest of honour on the occasion.

LEH, Jan 12: A delegation of Ladakh Tourist Trade Alliance (LTTA) today met Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor (CEC) LAHDC Leh Advocate Tashi Gyalson at Council Secretariat, here and demanded his intervention in granting of an economic relief package from the Government of India for the survival of the tourism industry in Ladakh.
Headed by chairman, PT Kunzang, the delegation representing all the tourism-related business in Leh including hotel, guest house, travel agency, taxi, tempo traveler, horses/pony (Stapa), guide and bike unions, apprised the CEC that the entire business chain of the tourism industry of Ladakh is at a risk of closure if the Government does not extend its support during this difficult phase
