President of the Jordanian Senate and former Prime Minister Faisal Akif Al-Fayez has praised Bangladesh for achieving over 5 percent GDP growth under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina even during the coronavirus pandemic.
The Jordanian senate president was speaking as the chief guest at a special event organised by the Bangladesh Embassy in Amman, Jordan, marking the historic Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu, and the inauguration of the newly installed ‘Bangabandhu Corner’ in the mission compound on Sunday.
21 passengers were airlifted from Leh to Srinagar, 35 from Srinagar to Kargil, 19 from Kargil to Srinagar, 21 from Jammu to Kargil, 70 from Kargil to Jammu and 120 from Leh to Jammu.

Jordanian Senate President and former prime minister Faisal Akif Al-Fayez has highly appreciated Bangladesh s over 5 percent GDP growth even during pandemic under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
He was addressing a special webinar as the chief guest yesterday.
Bangladesh Embassy in Amman, Jordan organised the event to mark the historic January 10, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman s Homecoming Day, and inauguration of the newly installed Bangabandhu Corner in the mission compound.
The senior politician from Jordan shared how remarkable the growth story of Bangladesh is, especially given that so many countries are experiencing negative growth as a result of the economic slowdown caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Cabinet Committee meeting on golden jubilee of independence held

DHAKA, Dec 3, 2020 (BSS) – The first meeting of Cabinet Committee was held today to celebrate the golden jubilee of the country’s independence in a colorful and befitting manner.
The meeting was held at the conference room of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs in the capital this afternoon with Liberation War Affairs Minister and committee chairman AKM Mozammel Haque in the chair, a ministry press release said.
At a press briefing after the meeting, Mozammel Haque revealed the detailed plan of the golden jubilee celebration of the country’s independence.
He said various programmes would be taken throughout the year with a view to spreading the spirit of the Liberation War among the new generation and the grassroots.
