Detectives investigating the murder of 61-year-old Ludmila Poletelova in Limavady, Co Derry have arrested a woman this evening.
PSNI Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: The woman, aged 45, was arrested in the Limavady area, on suspicion of murder, and has been taken into custody for questioning. Meanwhile, our detectives are currently conducting searches at two properties in the Limavady area as part of our investigation.
He added: Ludmila suffered a violent death which no-one deserves and we owe it to her, and her friends and family, to catch the person responsible and to bring them before the courts.
A murder inquiry has been launched following the discovery of a womanâs body in Co Derry.
Police in Northern Ireland believe Ludmila Poletelova (61) died following a âvicious attackâ at her home off Main Street in Limavady.
She is described as a Latvian national who had lived and worked in the town for a number of years.
Her body was found on Friday. A post mortem has since established she died as a result of a number of blows to the head.
Detective Chief Inspector Neil McGuinness said: âHer family have been informed and our family liaison officers are supporting them at what is obviously a shocking and horrific time for them.â
