The most decorated franchise in National Football League history is ready to take another run at it.
The Green Bay Packers have 13 NFL championships, more than any other team in the league, they are making their 34th appearance in the playoffs, moving ahead of the Dallas Cowboys on the all-time chart. They own the number one seed in the NFC field with a 13-3 record and come off the bye to welcome the 11-6 Los Angeles Rams to Lambeau Field for the 3:35 PM CST kickoff on Saturday. The Rams advanced to the Divisional Round with a 30-20 Super Wild Card Weekend victory against their division rival Seahawks in Seattle last weekend.

The week ramps up a day early when the biggest game of the season to date is moved to Saturday afternoon. The 13-3, top seeded Green Bay Packers welcome the 6th seeded and now 11-6 Los Angeles Rams to Lambeau Field for the first of four Divisional Round playoff games in the NFL’s expanded post-season.
Both teams got back on the practice field today to start preparing for the 3:35 PM CST kickoff Saturday afternoon and there were plenty of notes from off the field to cover.
We’ll start with a quick sellout. The Packers put 6000 tickets up for sale at 10:00 AM as they’ll welcome the biggest crowd of the year for the playoff game. Only season ticket holders who opted in were eligible to purchase pods of 2, 4 or 6 seats for the game. A list of coaches regarded as on the rise in men’s college basketball includes a former local high school star and the head man at UCSB.
Former Dos Pueblos High standout Shantay Legans, the head coach at Eastern Washington, and UCSB’s Joe Pasternack have been named to the list of “Rising Head Coaches in 2020” by the global media company Silver Waves Media.
Northwestern football coach Pat Fitzgerald will be the president of the American Football Coaches Association in 2021, further indicating he will spur offers from NFL teams to leave Evanston. ESPN reported Monday night that Fitzgerald has denied several requests to interview with NFL teams looking for new coaches. At least seven teams are seeking head coaches. Great Bedwyn couple Catherine and Lewis Fletcher have received some positive news to end the year on. After a difficult year for sport, members of the Great Britain Deaf Tennis Team now have something to celebrate about, after they were voted winners in a record three categories in the Deaf Sport Personality of the Year (DSPY) Awards. The Awards were launched in 2010 to celebrate the achievements of deaf athletes in both deaf and hearing sport. Catherine was voted Coach of the Year for the first time, while husband Lewis was shortlisted for the overall Deaf Sports Personality of the Year Award.
