Jillian Pikora Pennsylvania State Police say a driver died in a crash that happened Saturday morning in Lebanon County. PSP say the head-on collision happened on South 5th Avenue near Duquesne Drive in Schaefferstown just after 8 a.m. Saturday.Police say the driver was heading southbound when they attempted to pass another car, crossing into the northbound lane, hitting another vehicle head-on. The roadway was closed for four hours. The southbound driver died at the scene.The driver and passenger in the car heading northbound were taken to Hershey Medical Center. Their condition is unknown.

Seven children and two adult drivers were killed in head-on collision in Central California on New Year s Day, authorities said.
The children, who were between 6 and 15 years old, were members of two related families traveling in a 2007 Ford that collided around 8 p.m. on Friday with a Dodge vehicle on State Route 33 between Avenal and Coalinga, the Fresno County Coroner s office and the California Highway Patrol said.

(AP) â Two Wisconsin siblings returning from a Christmas lights display were killed Tuesday night when a suspected carjacker fleeing from police drove the wrong way on Interstate 95 in central Florida and collided head-on with their vehicle, authorities said.
The suspect also died in the crash on I-95 near Daytona Beach after fleeing police at speeds up to 120 mph (193 kph) in a vehicle authorities say was stolen at gunpoint from an Orlando area pizza delivery driver.
