KSP Investigating Rockcastle County Shooting

London, KY, USA / SAM 103.9 FM WWEL | Today s Pop Hits Mar 5, 2021 11:25 AM Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in Rockcastle County. Investigators say Rockcastle County 911 received a call early Thursday morning of a domestic violence complaint in the Sand Hill area of the county. Troopers say 43-year-old Timothy Clines of Mt. Vernon was in an argument with a woman when he was shot in the torso by 42-year-old Josh Little of Mt. Vernon. Clines was taken to Rockcastle Regional Hospital before being flown to the University of Kentucky Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. KSP Detective Ryan Loudermilk is continuing the investigation.

Former Athlete At University Of The Cumberlands To Compete On American Ninja Warrior

ANW tests endurance, body control, agility and strength. This is Kelly’s fifth season on American Ninja Warrior. During one of his previous seasons, Kelly made it to the ANW finals in Las Vegas. Kelley opened Ultimate Ninja Athletics in Lexington. The gym contains replicas of ANW obstacles such as the salmon ladder, warped wall, cliffhanger, and many balance obstacles. During one of the season’s Kelly competed in ANW he was a student at University of the Cumberlands. Kelley says he works out in a ninja gym now, which is unlike the past 4 seasons. Kelly believes working out in the Ninja Gym will be beneficial for the next time he competes. The acronym for THRIVE is Transforming Hiring in Rural Industries and Vital Economies. The THRIVE Act re-establishes the White House Rural Council, which was disassembled in 2017. This revived a federal effort to invest in southern and eastern Kentucky. A program that is overseen by the White House Rural Council was the “Livable Communities Initiative.” The initiative supports local government to develop housing and transportation in small towns. The Council and the U.S. Department of Education worked together to provide online educational resources for both students and teachers in rural communities. New Kentucky Unemployment Call Center Set To Be Built

Governor Andy Beshear announced this week a new Kentucky call center will be opened up to help those who still need financial assistance and help facilitate unemployment issues. Amy McCubbage, general counsel for the governor, said hiring for the center is underway. Once the staff is trained, the call center is set to open by the end of April.
