Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation at the Buggy Bath Car Wash on Homestead Avenue around 1:57 a.m. When they arrived, they found the two victims, police said. The woman killed in the shooting was identified as Jassmin Lewis of East Hartford. Officials said both were transported to the hospital. Lewis died as a result of her injuries. The man underwent emergency surgery and remains in critical condition.
