Some revisions had to be made to Marion Townshipâs COVID-19 preparedness and Response Plan after an employee reported issues to the state.
The Marion Township Board approved some updates to its earlier adopted plan, which were basically minor language changes. Clerk Tammy Beal reported that she got a call early this week notifying her that the township had been turned in to MIOSHA for not following rules so theyâll have to do some additional things to comply. When questioned, Beal noted that MIOSHA said an employee made the report, thus theyâll have to do some additional things to comply.
Jordan’s Way helps Genesee County Animal Control shelter raise nearly $8,000 in four hours

GENESEE COUNTY, MI Boosters of the county’s Animal Control Department took pies in the face and ice buckets over the head Monday, Feb. 1, to help raise $7,775 to benefit the West Pasadena Avenue shelter.
Kris Rotonda, founder of Jordan’s Way Charities, hosted a four-hour fundraising drive for the facility on the Genesee County Animal Control Facebook page, bringing in the donations as part of his own 50-state tour aimed at making a difference in the lives of shelter animals.
“I think this is fabulous. It’s a great morale booster. It’s great for letting the public know what we’re doing here and how hard we work,” said Renea Kennedy, deputy director of the shelter. “It lets us have a little fun even though this is a very serious job.
