Speaking to reporters in Tirupur, the MP said the textile units, which were badly affected during the lockdown, have just recovered. “At a time when they are returning to normalcy, the abnormal price rise of yarn has been affecting them at large,” he said. The MP said he wrote to Union textile minister Smriti Irani in March in this regard. Subbarayan said he had not received any reply from the minister nor from her ministry.
