With the snip of scissors, Loaves & Fishes which provides daily meals to those in need held a ribbon-cutting and dedication Sunday for its new 15,000 square foot home at 825 Crossland Avenue in Clarksville.
It was a moment of special significance to many, including board member Jill Crow and her brother, businessman Jack Turner. The new building s named in honor of their mother, Geraldine B. Turner, who helped the organization find their previous home. It was nice to honor mother that way, Crow said. She always had a passion for feeding people, board chair Tamara Long said of the building s namesake.
ACU Fraternities Suspended For Hazing
ABILENE, TX – Abilene Christian University has suspended two fraternities accused of conducting hazing.
According to ACU, the allegations occurred sometime this month. In response to the allegations, ACU launched an investigation and suspended all activities of the two fraternities in question. Hazing is illegal, against our student code of conduct, and we do not tolerate it, said Dr. Tamara Long, Vice President for Enrollment and Student Life.
ACU did not confirm what evidence they found during the investigation, but they suspended Galaxy and Gamma Sigma Phi. You may also like

Tennessee restaurant assembles 1,120-pound Spam musubi

Jan. 7 (UPI) A Tennessee restaurant broke a Guinness World Record by assembling a 1,120-pound dish of Spam musubi, a sushi-like dish involving rice and Spam layers wrapped in seaweed.
Kimo s Hawaiian Bar and Grill in Clarksville said the record attempt raised funds for local nonprofits Loaves and Fishes and Yaipak Outreach.

The chefs aimed to defeat the previous world record of 628 pounds, and ended up nearly doubling it with a 1,120-pound Spam musubi.
The dish was assembled at Loaves and Fishes new facility, which is aiming to open within the next two months.
