KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa said the Kuala Lumpur City Hall will screen and vaccinate at least 252 homeless people now in its custody.
Annuar said 119 people currently housed at the Kuala Lumpur Homeless Transit Centre, Anjung Kelana in Taman Desa as well as Anjung Singgah will start getting their vaccines on May 27.
Police also seized various car component parts, including exhausts worth about RM119,310.
Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Anuar Omar said police initially arrested six men, aged between 22 and 33, in Taman Desa between noon and 3pm on Friday (May 21). Two of those arrested had prior criminal records, including for drug-related offences. We also seized various items including a lorry used for the thefts, car keys and six electric saws, he told a press conference at Brickfields police headquarters on Monday (May 24).
Further Investigations led police to two other men in Batu Caves and Klang, he added. We also seized some 30 car exhausts and a four-wheel drive in Klang.
