PETALING JAYA: The watchful eye of a courier service worker led to the eventual bust of a drug syndicate that used toys for their smuggling activities.
The group concealed what police believed to be heroin in toys before sending them out of the country.
Each successful package delivered would have netted the group around RM1,000 with sources confirming that 11 such packages had been dispatched.
Police seized six of those packages that were sent.
PETALING JAYA: Police have busted a drug smuggling syndicate that attempted to export the illicit goods in toy packages, seizing drugs worth over RM40,000.
A R-naught number of below 1 suggested that the spread of Covid-19 was slowing down.
The regions with a R-naught number of more than one are Perak, Sarawak, Sabah and Kelantan.
Meanwhile, Kuala Lumpur, which had 120 new cases, reported its highest number in 17 days.
Deaths
Another four Covid-19 related death was reported today in Selangor (2), Sarawak (1) and Sabah (1), bringing the national death toll to 1,308.
The victims were all Malaysian citizens with comorbidity. Their age was between 60 and 83.

The Health Ministry today reported that 348 Covid-19 clusters are still active, down from 467 a month ago.
