Operations of Dhanbad Railway Station, including booking tickets and checking and running trains, were managed by women on Monday on the occasion of International Women’s Day. This apart, women also managed the reception and control rooms of the Dhanbad division of East Central Railway, besides working at the personnel department of the divisional railway manager. Dhanbad station master Ratnesh Kumar said, “We have handed overwork in almost all departments, including unreserved ticket counter operation and reservation counter operation, besides ticket checking and train operations, to women colleagues at the station from 10 am to 4 pm.” Advertisement Ashish Bansal, Divisional Railway Manager of Dhanbad Division, who carried out an inspection of the personnel department of his office while it was being managed by women, said, Women have an important role to play in the successful running of family, organization, society and nation.
