Fathers Incorporated is a Dunwoody-based nonprofit that’s working to support fathers and their families.
Lawrence Wilbon, who serves as the director of business and program development for Fathers Incorporated, says there is no handbook for parenting and remembers the range of emotions he felt when he first became a dad everything from nervousness to joy and excitement.
“I didn’t know how to raise a child,” said Wilbon. “I didn’t have no idea how to be a father, and over the years, I’ve learned, and it’s been through trial and error. But if I, if we’re able to help a father now so that he doesn’t have to walk through some of those pitfalls, I think it’s a win for us.”
