Robert Hollander, professor of European literature, and French and Italian, emeritus, and renowned scholar of Dante, died peacefully of natural causes at his family’s home in Pau uilo, Hawaii on April 20. He was 87.

Hollander joined Princeton’s faculty in 1962 and transferred to emeritus status in 2003. His teaching and research centered on medieval Italian literature, with a focus on the work of Dante Alighieri and Giovanni Boccaccio.

Italy / France - Restoration project will be Kering’s tribute to Florence 13 January 2021
Luxury group Kering has announced that it will make a contribution to a restoration project at one of Florence’s most famous buildings, the Palazzo Vecchio, reports Leatherbiz.
Specifically, Kering will contribute to the renovation of the lighting system in the Michelozzo courtyard of the palace. The project will begin in the months ahead and continue throughout 2021.
Chief executive, François-Henri Pinault, said Kering’s desire was “to help the city during a particularly difficult time”.
He said that Florence and the wider region of Tuscany were the first places to come to mind on thinking about the best parts of the world for investing in the craftsmanship and managerial skills that Kering relies on to make its products. “It has always offered us the highest quality,” he said.
