LOCK HAVEN The possibility of being evicted from your home is not a pleasant thought. But in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent economic fall out, it may be on the minds of some in the area who are struggling to pay rent.
So what do you do if you’re in that position?
The Clinton County Housing Coalition (CCHC) funded through Housing and Urban Development offers various services to help get a person or family into permanent housing.
For homeless individuals or families, the center can offer housing in either the Life Center or Merit House, both at 330 E. Main St.

A permit was issued to Desert Cedars Equities for construction of
Exceptional Healthcare’s 20,750-square-foot office building valued at $6.5 million at 19060 N. John Wayne Parkway. It will be built by BMH As-Built of Texas, a Dallas company specializing in medical, commercial and multi-unit residential construction. In addition, a permit was issued for a wet fire sprinkler.
Kroll Contractors will build a 5,400-square-foot, 8-bay automotive repair facility for
Brake Masters at 20400 N. John Wayne Pkwy., a project valued at $900,000. The project will be in Sonoran Creek Marketplace on lots 2 and 3. In addition, the company was granted a permit for $125,000 in tenant improvements.

LOCK HAVEN The Clinton County Housing Coalition has secured Riverview Park on May 22, 2021 to host its First-Ever Spring Carnival fundraising event.
This is a new event in lieu of the Daddy-Daughter Dance which was postponed due to the pandemic. We need to plan Anyone interested in helping, contact Jeff Rich via email to jeff@clintoncountyhousing.com or telephone to 570-748-9367 by Jan. 22.
An initial meeting via ZOOM is scheduled for Jan. 25 or 28; the time is not yet set. This fundraising event is critical for the Coalition. By hosting an outdoor event, we can maintain a safe environment and hopefully increase our attendance. Please consider donating a few hours of your time or a few dollars for supplies.We need to secure food-truck vendors, entertainment, and volunteers to create and host family-friendly games and activities.
