Panay-Guimaras-Negros bridge construction won’t start under Duterte administration Drilon
CONSTRUCTION of the Panay-Guimaras-Negros (PGN) bridges will be passed on to the next administration, Senate Minority Leader Franklin M. Drilon said on Wednesday following a meeting with the government’s adviser for flagship projects. “There is simply no time,” Mr. Drilon said in a statement. The senator, who hails from Iloilo where the Panay link will be located, said Presidential Adviser for Flagship Projects Vince B. Dizon informed him that the project is still undergoing feasibility study and that the target date for starting construction is 2023. Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Information Officer Randy R. Del Rosario confirmed this, saying the project is still in the “Feasibility Studies stage.” Mr. Drilon has been pushing for the bridges that will span 32.47 kilometers, connecting the three islands of Panay, Guimaras, and Negros and boost the Western Visayas

Residents of Lafayette City and Parish are being encouraged to create an online 311 account that enables them to request services or report issues to Lafayette Consolidated Government (LCG).
LCG says that creating an online account makes it easier to submit a request or report an issue, for example, a missed garbage collection or a pothole in need of repair.

âWe want to be proactive in providing services to our citizens. Our goal has always been to make the online 311 website simple and easy to use, and the service request options are based on the most frequent requests citizens have been historically making,â said LCG Chief Information Officer Randy Gray.

BRADENTON, Fla. (WWSB) - Manatee County Sheriffâs Deputies are paying tribute to Deputy Antonio Hernandez following his death in a car crash.
Hernandez, 22, died from his injuries following the crash on I-75 on Sunday. He was off duty at he time.
Hernandez had just begun his career with MCSO in July after serving with the Palmetto PD.
âAntonio was a talented, hardworking deputy who showed professionalism and always had a smile. He will be missed,â said MCSO Public Information Officer Randy Warren. âPlease keep the Hernandez family, friends, and his law enforcement family in your thoughts and prayers.
